Exercise and Anti-Ageing

There is no doubt that physical activity has a beneficial effect on overall health and well being.

People who are physically fit, eat a healthy well balanced diet and take nutritional supplements can slice 10-20 years off their biological age. This is the true age that one’s body should be measured, in terms of function rather than chronological age which is measured by the candles on your birthday cake.

We all tend to become more sedentary as we get older. The challenge is to continue regular exercise of at least 30 minutes 4-5 times a week. This can take the form of walking (make sure to include a few hills!) or join a gym and engage a personal trainer or better still, an exercise physiologist.
